1. When a customer logged into my site, they used to be able to see their previous postings, so they could repost items if they wished. This would save them time if they want to relist item/s that have expired rather than retype them again, and upload the images.

If anyone can help, it would be most appreciated to know how to restore a customer's previous posts.

2. when a customer posts an item, it can be a (product) weekly special with a start and end date, or it can be a special offer. Currently, their special (in dollars) is displayed in the main index.php page.

But if a client does not have a weekly special and enters a special offer instead (eg. buy 1 get 1 free), it does not display on the index page. Is it possible to have a special offer appear in the page if there isn't a weekly special?

Are you using some sort of commercial software or are you using a homebuilt system?

The site is being hosted with a major ISP where my friend works. He has been helped me with hosting for some time.

The server is running linux, but the site is readily accessible by ftp and other html applications.

This is what you use to host your site, but what about the software you use where your customers login. You say:
Where did they login?

From what I could see this may not even be a PHP issue.....

Thanks for taking to time to respond.

Is it safe for me to tell you the name of the site? If so, can O direct you to the site so you can have a look at the problem first hand?

At this stage the site has not been officially launched, so the registrations (stores) have been created by myself.

I have been posting items to test the site while the coders were supposedly doing their thing.

Previously, expired items would display in their CP so they the client could relist any item they wanted by clicking on the item, and updating the dates. But it appears a change that the coders made has resulted in the items not displaying anymore.

I am sure it's a php problem because it was working, and since the coders made final touches to the site, the recent specials do not display.

If you have programmers working on the site I would suggest you contact them and let them fix the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the coders have been relieved of the project because they were more than a year past the delivery date. And despite arbitration, they still didn't complete the job hence my request for help in this forum.
