Help with cookie protection 1.0

I downloaded the 1.0 version of the cookie protection software yesterday and have been racking my brain trying to make it work. I have my protection in the first line of text as follows:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">

<head>
<title>XXX</title>

But when I click on the link that should take me to the password protected page, it takes me directly to the page and bypasses the login. Do you have any suggestions for me? I'm trying even to see the test and make sure it works for us before I go and purchase the full support.

Do you have PHP installed on your server and what file extension is it for the file you are tryin to protect?

If the file is a .html file, then you must activate that extension for PHP scripts.

Check your cookie settings: make sure you don't use sampleaddress.com as your domain.
