Are you using IE7?

I am looking the javascript for opening window targeted in 'new tab' instead of self or new window.

I'm using Firefox, much better :D

I don't think you can open a new tab. And also if you can you will most likely get some problems when someone's using an older web browser.

It's depends on browser but not on a script, so you are able to use browser's settings for this issue.

I use Firefox also. So much better indeed- more stable and more reliable :)
And it isn't tied into the operating system, so it's less of a security risk.
