Quote:
"Now wherever we go he uses us to tell others about the Lord and to spread the good news like a sweet perfume. Our lives are a fragrance presented to God by Christ. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those being saved and by those perishing. To those who are perishing we are a fearful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved we are life-giving perfume... ...we preach God's message with sincerity and with Christ authority. And we know that the God who send us is watching us."
- 2 Corinthians 2:15
Here is yet another example that we are different than the world.
I believe this works both ways, while the Bible says Christians are a smell of death and doom to unbelievers, I believe that unbelievers are smell of death and doom to us. Have you ever been around someone who just feels like they're always angry? Like they don't like anybody? Or maybe they're depressed, or always say things that sound really twisted. They just seem like they have this "air" about them...
At the same time the Bible tells us in Php 2:15 and Mt 5:14, (and many people that give their testimonies tell us) that they see something different in us. The Dark hates the light, so you can just expect people who aren?t saved to feel something different when you?re around. If they don?t than you might want to re-check your relationship with Christ. Hopefully, you can use that chance to show what it means to be Christian to that person.
