Xavier,

First off, great job on the WP Status.net plugin. I had just been looking for a good solution to be able to post to multiple status.net sites / twitter accounts. Your plugin works perfectly.

I have a few questions about how it works. Whenever my blog makes a new post, the plugin then in turn posts out to the different status.net sites I am registered at. Some of these Status.net sites (like myxavier.com) give a trackback that shows up in my WP admin area, others do not. Does that mean that they are not working properly? How can I get trackbacks from these other Status.net sites?

Thanks.

I think the track-backs from the Status.net servers is something that needs to be activated at the status.net server. I think it's a plugin for status.net servers if I remember correctly.

Hi,
My first post :D

Thank you for your great plugin.

I have a few questions
Quote:
I think the track-backs from the Status.net servers is something that needs to be activated at the status.net server.

-How many sites did you find that send trackbacks?
(I've find many Status.net website but I want to know if it worth the time spent to register, many of the ones I'am already registered on does'nt give trackbacks)

-I can't find where the data are stored : username and password
(I'd like to enter directy the data there because it take too much time to enter them 3 at a time on the plugin page)

New features if possible
-Sometimes the plugin times out after 30 seconds and don't post to the remaining sites. Is it possible to make the time-out adjustable?

-Is it possible to chose the number of sites to post randomly? It will help to look more natural with the search engines.

Thanks a lot

You need to check with each and every server provider if they have activated the trackbacks.

It's stored in the options table for Wordpress, but the plugin is not meant to have that many servers/usernames that you can't fill them in manually. When this option was done we planned for people to have about 10 different favorite servers to post to, but it sounds like you're going to post to many, many more. Am I right?

Change that in php.ini. Once again the plugin is not meant to be used to post to that many servers.

No, not at the moment maybe in a future version.

@Andreas,

I have been thinking about setting up my own Status.net server and I would be interested in setting it up with that plugin. Can you please provide a link to the Status.net trackback plugin?

Thanks.

It's in the Status.net package in the plugin directory (LinkbackPlugin.php). You just need to activate it.
