Im pretty sure a webhosting business would go under this catagory, anyhow maybe its not the perfect place to ask for advice or tips but i have recently started one and well it's not going totally as planned. I have no clients which means there is no way to pay for this but out of my own pocket and unfortunatley i cannot do that at this time. Ive advertised on some hosting forums and what not but im limited to advertising as i cannot spend anything on it. If anyone could share some ideas on how to fire up a hosting business that would be great.

Well i think its a good online business I think you should first promote by offereing free hosting, after you build your reputation as a good hosting then eaasy for you to target good clients

You can also promote your hosting company in some Hosting forums..There are many out there in the net

I agree you could probably offer free hosting services, offer coupons and discounts and contest. You can also offer lower price than the competitor.

My prices are fairly low right now , free hosting i was thinking about but i don't see any way i could possibly fund it unless i do forced ads and well im currently just on a reseller so i don't have access to the apache config. Any other ways to fund this? other then putting ads on my own site of course.

I agree on you khinzhe cause no people will really risk their money to a new hosting site because they will risk their stable income with your new hosting business.try to build some reputation as a free site and if they think you can be a good hosting provider then offer now your site as a paid one to our members.

No one knows if it is new or not , i really would like to start free hosting but i don't really see any way to fund it and i myself can't afford it lol so im not sure if its going to stay up, if i get clients it will but if not ill probobally be forced to shut down untill i can afford it :/
