Make sure you have the correct path to your hidden directory. If you ignore to set the hidden directory or if it's not the correct path to your hidden files then it will not work.

Look for the following lines in settings.php:
Code:
// If you're going to use file protection, then set this to the full
// path to your files. No / at the end!
$hiddendirectory = "/home/xavier/public_html/cookieprotection";

i checked again and is the correct path look above
I Did put some files.jpg in to folder and linked using
<IMG SRC="<? echo fileprotect("reunion1.jpg",0); ?>"><P>

but it seems the link to be broken

You need to put the full path not just /1d2i3r that's why file protection can't find your files. You may have to contact your web hosting company to get the full path.

There is a new version available at http://www.xaviermedia.com/download/ that will check if the hidden directory is correct during setup/upgrade.

If the directory /1d2i3r is in the same directory as you have installed Cookie Password Protection, then you simply remove / and it should work.
