 Post subject: File Protection won't install on server

Points:
Just purchased v 2.7..

When trying to run setup.php i get a blank screen. I have set all settings in settings.php correctly (i hope)

PLEASE HELP! I can't find anything on the forums about a blank screen on the setup.php page

Make sure you have uploaded all files to the server and that you have PHP installed on the server.

I did. All files are there that were unzipped including the changed settings.php file. And yes..php is installed on the server as i use phpadmin.

Any other suggestions.

Ok..was able to get past the blank page issue..but now it says database not created why? then when i change settings.php to include another db that already exists, it says all tables not created.

If you can't create a database from the setup you need to create the database manually and enter the information in settings.php.

If you use an already existing database and get problems with the tables like you got, then you should check the names of the tables in settings.php. You may have to change name for some of the tables if you already have tables with the same names.

I was able to resolve this issue by doing the following.

FLUSHING all privledges
Creating a new mysql user with full access
Clearing my temp files locally in IE
the restarting setup.

Presto! It worked.
