but i'm a little lost and need you assistance:
i created a site based on status.net. then created an Application on it using oauth.

on your plugin (xaviermedia.com/wordpress/plugins/wp-status-net.php) - how can i connect my blog to my statusnet site (not to identi.ca, but directly to my statusnet site). which details should be entered?
which details should i place?
these are the fields i can fill in the plugin:
StatusNet Instance API URL
username
password

these are the details from my statusnet application:
Consumer key
Consumer secret

Request token URL
http://MYDOMAIN.COM/index.php/api/oauth/request_token

Access token URL
http://MYDOMAIN.COM/index.php/api/oauth/access_token

Authorize URL
http://MYDOMAIN.COM/index.php/api/oauth/authorize

You should of course fill in the details asked for in the plugin:


In your case the API URL would be:
http://MYDOMAIN.COM/index.php/api

And the rest of the details are your user name and your password.

should i configure something in my statusnet site also?

You need to have the API activated. I had problems with some file that was missing because it wasn't uploaded when I installed my Statusnet site. Try uploading all the API files again.

i've double checked, all the api files (those in the /lib folder) are uploaded.

is there an htaccess or cron job or anything else i should check?

It should work then. I noticed that you have index.php in the URL. See if you can remove it both to have nicer links and also to see if the postings will work.
