I just tried out your plugin and it worked quite well. The one concern that I have is whether or not I will be able to pt an excerpt to the post as well. I looked at the options and saw that I can add a prefix and suffix, can I use WP code on this for a simple line about the new post?

At the moment you can't use WP code, only plain text (i.e. if you would like all your status updates at Facebook to start with blabla, then you fill in the blabla in the prefix field. Perhaps we add WP code as an option in the future.
