This url:

currently generates a 404. Whereas these

http://api.finance.xaviermedia.com/api/2009/11/17.xml
http://api.finance.xaviermedia.com/api/2009/11/19.xml

work fine.

I appreciate the free API, and that this gives me no reason to bitch, but I'll just say that if the API isn't reliable, it's not worth doing.

Just ran a historical series request. 2009-11-09 through 2009-12-12 all failed.

I just ran this once, but I tried the 2009-11-18 several times through the day with the same result.

Not sure why they all failed, but I've tested them all less then 2 minutes ago and they worked.

Do you get a DNS error, time out or just zeros as values for the currencies?

That original URL is failing again, as are most of January so far.

Disappointed no-one has responded to this.

Note that the failure is always a 404 error.

1) the 18th of November is working

2) January is working since since 1st-3rd are not banking days
