We update the exchange rates at 16:14:00 CET.

Any reason for it not to be say 16:00? Was just discussing it with my developer as we just implemented it on one of our sites.

Thanks for the great API, though. One of only a few good ones on the net!

The new rates are not available at 16:00:00, that's why it's 16:14:00

i currently get the exchange rate via http://api.finance.xaviermedia.com/api/latest.xml and parse that - works fine to get EUR to GBP.

however, we are a UK business and also need the AUD rate now - and the base rate is EUR.

how do you change the base rate in the requests, I don't think it's clear... I'd like to set it to GBP instead of EUR.

In the current version you will have to calculate this on your own. In next version of the API we will let you select the base currency on your own (we don't have any release date of next API version at this time).
