Hi,

I can log in fine and see the pages that came with the package.
But when I add a new page, put the php protection at the top of the new page and then point my borwser to it, I see the page, but all my formatting is gone and I get the following error messages. (The page is xhtml but saved as .php

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /hsphere/local/home/zsameow/voyagerxii.4kaztwylde.com/voyager_test/Kansas.php:10) in /hsphere/local/home/zsameow/voyagerxii.4kaztwylde.com/voyager_test/codelock.php(3) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code on line 125

What do I need to do to correct this?
I have used your free version for a previous site, had good luck with it and decided to try your 2.8 version for a new site I am building, I purchased it yesterday)

Are you including an already protected page into another page you are also protecting with the protection code?

It looks like you have the protection code two times at the smae page and that's why you get these errors.

I do have two other includes in the page, one is for a navagation menu and the other is for the main body text. Could these be what is causing the problem?

Yes, if you have the protection code in any of the other two includes.

Yes, I do have the protection code at the top of the two includes pages.

So if I remove the protection code from the two includes pages would I then need to implement your file protection to protect those include pages?

I want to be able to protect the include pages.

In that case remove the protection code from the first page and keep it in the two include pages, but then you need to make sure you include the two pages at the top of your first page.

OK, I removed the protection code from the first page, no problem.
I kept the protection code at the top of the two include pages, no problem.
Then I added the two includes to the top of the main page. Here's where the problem is - by moving the includes to the top of the main page, now the includes information is displayed at the top of the page and not in the page where it is supposed to go.

Secondary to this I removed the protection from one of the includes since it is just a menu and doesn't really need protected. Then I added the code for the menu to the main page where it is supposed to go, removed the includes from the top of the main page for the menu, no problem, looks and works fine. Menu is where it is supposed to be. ( I would like to have the menu in it's own file for it will need to be updated from time to time and the site will have about 70 pages that the menu needs to be in) If I keep the menu as a php page but not protect it and try to include it in its proper location on the main page, I still get the errors as before.

Now with the menu added to the main page, and keeping the includes information still at the top of the main page for the protected content, it still appears at the top and not in the div where it is supposed to appear. So there must be some code I need to add to tell the browser where the protected includes page information is to go in the main page but I am not sure what to add in the code.

The included page contains members information and needs to be protected.

In that case I suggest you move the pages you include in the main page to somewhere outside your public_html folder, www folder or whatever the folder is called on your server where you put your public files. Then you put the protection code only at the top of your main page.

Hi, I just wanted to stop back by and let you know that I did as you had suggested and moved the includes pages above my public_html directory. Then I had to rewrite some of the includes code so it could find the include files. After doing all that and adding a slight learning curve, all is working well. Thank you for your help on this.
